Human Resources Assistant
FloraCraft Corporation, the worldwide leader in the fabrication of floral and crafting products, and, most recently, the proud Supplier of the Year for Walmart, has an opening for an experienced Human Resources Assistant. This position will support the Director of Human Resources and, depending on experience, could immediately elevate to Human Resources Assistant Manager.
+ Posts job ads and organizes resumes and job applications;
+ Schedules job interviews and assists in interview process;
+ Assists in recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training new employees;
+ Collects employment and tax information;
+ Completes pre-employment testing, background and reference checks;
+ Prepares new employee files;
+ Conducts benefit enrollment process;
+ Prepares job descriptions and updates same to stay current;
+ Serves as point person for all new employee questions;
+ Reviews, makes corrections to, and processes timekeeping;
+ Facilitates resolutions to any payroll errors;
+ Participates in benefit tasks, such as claim resolutions;
+ Maintains employee personnel records, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, exit interviews, etc.
+ Provides internal customer service to employees and other departments;
+ Serves as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administrators;
+ Maintains PLEX Human Resources module by updating and entering data;
+ Compiles reports and spreadsheets as needed;
+ Must have extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations and ability to stay current on same;
+ Maintains calendars of HR team; and
+ Performs any additional job duties as required.
+ Associates’ or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related studies or equivalent of 2-5 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Software: Microsoft 365 Office, intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Plex operating system a plus.
