FloraCraft Provides Florists’ Review Key Trends and Insights for Mother’s Day

FloraCraft’s Trend and Marketing Insights Manager, Karen Kohout, recently spoke with Nita Robertson at Florists’ Review about what’s in for the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday.

For this year, Karen notes key trends include quaint, cottage-style and vintage décor and tablescapes to celebrate connection and nature.

In terms of popular colors for 2025, Karen says many arrangements and décor will range from “nostalgic, muted and mid-tones with touches of vivid dark accents to bucolic brights inspired by the countryside and lots of natural or textural greenery.”

“Feminine shades, including soft mauve, violet and plum berry, have a timeless beauty, and uplifting golden hues with rich neutrals, browns and greens reflect nature, comfort and wellness.”

Karen adds that while “traditional” colors such as soft pinks, peaches and lavenders are still popular, many folks are opting for bright hues such as coral, fuchsia and sunny yellow to create a more cheerful aesthetic. Monochromatic arrangements are also in demand for a more modern look.

When it comes to selecting the blooms, Karen says garden flowers such as daisies, daffodils, peonies and wildflowers in heirloom vases or dried flowers as centerpieces are perfect for a Mother’s Day brunch gathering to create that cozy cottage ambiance.

For those looking to make a wreath, Karen recommends dried flowers, such as chamomile, cherry blossoms and wildflowers, with natural or macrame accents will make perfect decorations that moms will enjoy this year.

While folks can’t go wrong with roses, peonies and tulips, Karen suggests mixing it up this year by trying modern arrangements featuring ranunculus, anemones and garden roses.

Lastly, Karen notes sustainability is a growing priority, with more consumers choosing eco-friendly options, such as locally grown flowers and sustainable packaging. Arrangements with a “just-picked” feel are highly popular.
