FloraCraft® Introduces a New and Improved Artesia WetFōM®

Bringing Artesia WetFōM Production In-house Solidifies Industry Leader as Home of FōM™

FloraCraft, the leading manufacturer of floral and craft foam products, is now producing its own proprietary floral wet foam, Artesia WetFōM, with unique features in a new, highly automated building on its Ludington, Michigan campus.

After more than four years of engineering and testing, FloraCraft’s Artesia WetFōM has been re-imagined for a better user experience and more efficient manufacturing process. The move allows customers to purchase all varieties of floral and craft foam from one trusted provider, solidifying FloraCraft as the Home of FōM.

“With our introduction of Artesia WetFōM, floral designers everywhere can now rely on us as their one-stop shop for all their foam needs,” FloraCraft President and CEO Steven Carlson said. “Artesia WetFōM provides a professional-grade foundation for users to create fresh flower arrangements for life’s big moments, all from the brand they have come to know and trust.

“This product is the culmination of years of investment and innovation, developed with determination to maintain our manufacturing independence, protect American jobs and provide our customers with the best quality products and service possible.”

To prepare for production, FloraCraft made significant capital investments, including constructing a 34,000-square-foot building equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling more efficient and cost-effective production. Artesia WetFōM is created using a proprietary production method designed for less waste and a lower pH, which extends the life of floral stems.

It FEELS different because it IS different

Artesia WetFōM is an all-purpose, preferred density foam formulated for every stem type, including large, small, hardy and delicate flowers. The all-purpose density features a unique grip that ensures the foam securely holds stems in place while designing, delivering or installing. It also soaks quickly and keeps flowers alive for up to eight days.

FloraCraft also introduces an Artesia WetFōM instant brick with HydroFast+® Technology that soaks water up to two times faster than standard bricks. The patent pending HydroFast+® Technology features a unique crosshatch design with fewer holes than a traditional instant brick, which reduces the chance of hitting an air pocket inside when placing stems. The unique plus-shaped design doubles as a cutting guide to further assist professional results.

Designers will appreciate the new product’s color, which is the darkest green on the market. Artesia WetFōM’s deep color turns almost black when soaked, allowing it to seamlessly blend with florals for a more unified arrangement that requires less filler. Artesia WetFōM is available in all-purpose standard or instant bricks, paper-mâché forms and an assortment of key shapes.

Full product line of Artesia WetFōM, including brinks, wreaths, balls and heart.

“Our Artesia WetFōM has been re-imagined for a better user experience that works harder, holds tighter and meets the highest performance expectations,” Carlson said. “It feels different because it is different – with a better grip, you’ll have greater control for professional results.”

The Trick is in the Brick!

Wholesale customers buying in bulk will appreciate the same industry-standard color-coded master cartons they’re used to, allowing for quick identification but with a brand new, consumer-friendly feature – Brick Lift®. Brick Lift is a built-in pull tab that allows the user to easily grab the first brick from the box without damaging it.

Wholesale customers can now take advantage of freight efficiencies by purchasing all their foam types and key floral arranging products from a single, known and trusted provider, FloraCraft.

FloraCraft is driven by social responsibility, dedicated to building a sustainable company that employs best practices for the environment, people and the communities it operates in. The manufacturer is focused on improving efficiencies in manufacturing by looking through the lens of sustainability. By bringing production to the United States, FloraCraft continues to lower its carbon footprint.
