FloraCraft’s Luke Shereda Named to Chamber’s Future Five

Shereda honored at the Chamber Alliance of Mason County’s Annual Awards Dinner

Luke Shereda, production engineer at FloraCraft®, was named to the 2025 Future Five class by the Chamber Alliance of Mason County.

This is the third consecutive year a FloraCraft team member has received this accolade, which recognizes five professionals, ages 21-40, who are currently influencing the growth, prosperity and quality of life in Mason County and demonstrate the ability to positively impact the area in the future through professional accomplishments and community involvement.

“It’s energizing belonging to an organization that cares for both its community and team,” Shereda said. “At FloraCraft, the impact of our work is clear – you can see the difference we make in the lives of our neighbors every day. Whether it’s through creating stable jobs or driving community outreach, being part of a team dedicated to building a thriving, sustainable Mason County is deeply rewarding. I’m grateful to join the outstanding leaders in this year’s Future Five class who are committed to shaping a brighter future for our community.”

Born and raised in the Ludington area, Shereda attended Ferris State University before beginning his career at a plastics manufacturer in Grand Rapids. The draw of returning to Ludington was always in the back of his mind, so when an opening at FloraCraft came up in 2020, he decided to make the move back home. In his role, Shereda has led several improvement projects to strengthen the manufacturer’s engineering processes, lowering production costs and improving long-term stability. His work includes research and development, particularly staying ahead of emerging sustainable materials.

“Luke’s leadership is grounded in service, humility and a genuine love for the area,” Vice President of Engineering, Science and Technology Phil Gable said. “His actions — both big and small — consistently uplift those around him and reflect a deep commitment to making Mason County a better place for everyone. Whether through professional projects, community involvement or personal development, Luke leads by example.

“Luke’s inclusion in the Mason County Future Five is well deserved. We look forward to seeing how he continues to grow at FloraCraft and as a leader in our community.”

Shereda and his fellow honorees were recognized at the chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner Sept. 17 at the Lake House in Ludington.
