Instructions

1.Use the serrated knife to cut the rod into pieces to create the animals.

  • For the horse measure and cut a 9” piece for the head/neck and a 3” piece for the nose.
  •  For the cow, cut a 7” for the head/neck and 2.5” for the nose
  • For the pig, cut a 6” piece for the head/neck and 1.5” piece for the nose.

2. Glue the noses about 1.5” down from the top of the rod for each of the animals.

3. Paint each of the animals and let them dry completely.

4. Glue the wiggle eyes just above the noses about 1.5” apart.

5. Use the end of the closed scissors to pilot a hold in the bottom of the neck for the dowel. Add glue to the end of the dowel and push hard into the foam to secure in place.

6. Cut 3” circles of felt to cover the ends of the noses. Cut light pink felt circles for the nostrils.  Cut felt oval ears for each of the animals. Then glue the felt pieces in place on the heads.

7. For the horse, glue tufts of brown yarn and a small tuft at the top of the head. For the cow, glue a tuft of black yarn to the top of the cow’s head.

8. Glue a rope ring around each nose. Add a long loop of rope on either side to form a bridle. Tie a bandana around each animal’s neck for a finishing touch.
