Instructions
- Trim the stems of the sunflowers. Apply a small amount of glue to the stems to help secure them in place. Insert a few stems in a group at different heights on the top left side of the bale. Cut a couple sunflower stems, a little shorter and insert them into the top right side of the bale.
- Cut the stems of the succulents and insert a few in a grouping next to the sunflowers on the left of the bale.
- Cut stems of the trailing greenery and apply glue to the ends before inserting into the bale on either side trailing down each side of the bale.
- For thinner stems, first wire the stem onto a wired wood pick. Lay the end of the pick along the end of the stem and use the wire to secure the pick to the stem. For added security, wrap the stem with floral tape by stretching and overlapping each wrap of the tape around the wire and stem. Stretching activates the adhesive in the tape.
- Trim the stems of boxwood, dusty miller, and fern to fill in around the entire arrangement to add contrast and texture.
- Tie the wood tags to the suede lace and secure to the front of the bale with a floral pin.
