FloraCraft® Products Featured on NBC’s Making It

FloraCraft® products were recently featured on season two of NBC’s “Making It” hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman.

Airing from Dec. 2 to Dec. 11, the crafting competition featured eight of the most talented makers from across the country who competed in a variety of handmade projects with the hopes of impressing Poehler, Offerman and expert judges Simon Doonan and Dayna Isom Johnson.

Maker Justine Silva (season 2 winner) shows off the beginnings of a balloon cake, featuring a FloraCraft sphere.

A family-owned and Michigan-based company, FloraCraft is the world’s leading manufacturer of foam products for the craft and floral industries. From its headquarters in Ludington, FloraCraft employees provide innovative American-made products to Walmart, Amazon, Michaels, JOANN, Hobby Lobby and other leading retailers.

“We were thrilled to have our American-made products featured on a show that celebrates the joy of crafting,” said CEO Eric Erwin. “For more than 70 years, we’ve made it fun for crafters everywhere so this was a natural fit for us. From a fun fall wreath to a whimsical balloon cake, we were completely inspired by how the makers used our products to unleash their creativity throughout the season.”

Every Making It episode revolved around a central theme that drew inspiration from popular trends in the crafting and do-it-yourself cultures. Each episode of the competition consisted of two projects that allowed the makers to demonstrate their specialized talent while sharing skilled insights and touching personal stories.
