- Faux Sunflowers
- Faux Greenery Branches
- (8) ¾" Half Round Black Buttons
Tools
- Low-Temp Glue Gun
- Wire Cutters
- Drop Cloth
Instructions
- Glue on the buttons as shown to look like nails in the horseshoe.
- Be sure to work in a well-ventilated area while painting the foam. Lay down the drop cloth to protect your surface. Hold the can 14″ away from the surface of the foam while spraying to prevent melting the foam. Spray a light coat of rust brown to the front and sides, spraying too heavy of a coat will melt the foam. Allow this first coat to dry before adding a second coat. Continue adding light coats letting each one dry before adding another coat until you get your desired shade.
- Spray hints of silver here and there around the horseshoe to add contrast and make it look a little weathered. Allow it to dry completely.
- Stand the horseshoe up and insert some greenery branches into the front right fairly low. Insert taller greenery into the back left of the horseshoe. This will help it stand up while arranging the flowers.
- Cut the stems of the sunflowers to about 4″. Insert a few sunflowers into the front right of the horseshoe among the greenery.
- Cut the stems of a couple sunflowers a little longer and insert them into the back left of the horseshoe peeking over the edge.
