Instructions

1. If using a 2” x 11.9” x 35.8” sheet, go to step #2.  If using (2) 1” x 11.9” x 35.8” sheets brush the top of one sheet with a light coat of white craft glue.  Lay the second sheet on top to create the 2” thickness and let dry at least 4 – 8 hours. 
2. Trace 8 hearts and 8 stars onto the foam sheet with a marker, cut them out with a serrated knife or saw, and sand the edges smooth using scrap foam. 
3. Push toothpicks into the shapes to use as handles as you paint.  Lay down drop cloth to protect your surface.  Paint all the shapes with your desired colors.  While the paint is still wet, sprinkle with the coordinating color glitter and allow them to dry completely.  The paint will secure the glitter in place as it dries.  For a more secure hold, spray the glittered shapes with glitter adhesive spray and let dry completely. 
4. Use a thin skewer to poke a hole through the middle of each piece, making it easier to thread the wire. Bend about ½” at the end of the wire to help slide it through the foam. Thread the shapes onto the wire, placing the white discs in the center of each garland. Lay the garlands flat and carefully glue the black glitter letters onto each disc, ensuring they are centered and aligned properly. 
5. Hang and celebrate
