Supplies

  • FloraCraft® SmoothFōM®:
    • 1.5” Balls - White
  • Acrylic Paint:
    • Green
    • Light Brown
    • Yellow/Gold
  • Tissue Paper - Leaf Green
  • Jute/Twine

Tools

  • Low-Temp Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Paint Brushes

Instructions

1. Paint the balls yellow/gold and let them dry. Paint light brown diagonal lines all the way around the ball from top to bottom about ¼” apart. Paint brown diagonal lines going in the opposite direction over the top of the first diagonal lines. This should look like a crisscross pattern to resemble the texture of a pineapple.

2. Paint a small spot at the top and bottom of the pineapple green. Let dry.

3. Use a sharpened pencil to poke a hole about ¼” deep in the top of each pineapple. Cut a section of twine long enough to create your garland. Starting about 10” from one end, glue the twine into the hole on the pineapple. Measure out however far apart you want the pineapple to be on the garland and glue the twine into the next pineapple. Repeat to glue all the pineapples onto the twine.

4. Cut a 2”x1” piece of tissue paper. Starting at the 1” end roll the tissue into a tube. Pinch one end of the tube with your fingers and use the scissors to fringe the opposite end of the tube creating a leaf topper for the pineapple. Repeat to create leaf toppers for all the pineapples and glue them in place at the top.
